Why a cockpit, and not another report

I Monthly reporting cannot see a nightly problem

Answer surfaces change under you between reports. By the time a monthly deck shows the drop, the citation has belonged to somebody else for three weeks. Inkwell samples every night, so the change and its cause stay next to each other.

II Rankings and answers are two different scoreboards

A page can hold position three and be absent from every AI answer for the same query. Inkwell puts search position and share of answer on one screen, because the gap between them is where the work is.

III A dashboard should end in a decision

Every view closes with the next move, ranked by impact, with an estimate attached. If a number does not change what we ship this week, it does not get a tile.

What it tracks

Three views, in the order you would actually use them: where you stand, what the engines said, what to do about it.

01 Share of Answer The percentage of your buyers’ real questions where an engine names you, trended weekly against the two competitors closest to you. Visibility
02 The prompt panel Every question in your category, sampled nightly, with the verbatim answer and whether you were cited, named or absent. Answers
03 Citation sources Which pages the engines are actually reading to answer, split across your own site, press, communities and directories. Attribution
04 Next best moves The ranked fix list, each with an impact estimate and a time cost, refreshed weekly as the readings move. Actions
05 The shipping log Every change we made, dated, with the reasoning and the expected effect, so a movement can be traced to a cause. Accountability

How you get on it

  1. 01 Question intake You send the questions your buyers ask on sales calls. We turn them into the panel. Day 1
  2. 02 First readings Five engines sampled nightly for a week. You see the raw answers, not a summary of them. Week 1
  3. 03 The baseline Your share of answer, your competitors’, and the gap between the two. This is the number we get judged on. Week 2
  4. 04 Live cockpit Access for your whole team, updated nightly, with the move list refreshed every week. Ongoing
