Social Topical Map Generator
Social Topical Map Generator
Google added platform properties to Search Console, meaning your YouTube channel, TikTok, Instagram and X profiles get the same query-level data a website gets: the exact searches where your content appears. This free tool reads those exports and maps the content pillars you own, which platform carries each one, and the part a pillar chart never gives you: an Optimize / Embed / Produce action plan, exported as a spreadsheet plus a prompt pack that briefs your next YouTube video, Reel and X post.
Private by design: everything runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and when you close the tab it is gone.
- In Search Console, open the property selector and click Add property, then choose the platform (Instagram, TikTok, X, or YouTube) and verify it — this is separate from your website property.
- Once verified, open that platform property's Performance report.
- Click Export → Download CSV. Repeat for each platform property (and your website property, if you want it in the map too).
- Drop each ZIP below, one per platform. Loose CSV files work too if you'd rather export just the Queries table.
Drag your Search Console exports in here or click to browse
One ZIP per platform property (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, or your site). Loose CSV exports work too. Performance report → Export → Download CSV.
How the map is built
The tool reads the Queries file in each Search Console export, strips filler words, and finds the phrases carrying the most search impressions across everything you uploaded. Queries sharing a core phrase become a pillar; pillars are ranked by impressions, and each one's average position is impression-weighted so a stray page-90 phrasing can't drag down a topic you actually own. Brand searches are split into their own pillar so they never inflate a topic. Platform attribution comes from which export each query was found in.
Honest note: this clustering is a keyword-overlap heuristic, not true semantic topic modeling — it groups queries that share a dominant significant word, which works well for concrete topics but won't catch synonyms or paraphrases it hasn't seen literally.
What Is a Social Topical Map?
This Social Topical Map Generator builds your content pillars from real Google Search Console data, not from a typed-in topic.
Google Search Console lets you add platform properties for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and X, alongside your website. Upload one Performance export per platform, and the tool clusters the actual queries your content already appears for into content pillars, shows which platform carries each one, and turns that into an action plan.
What This Social Topical Map Generator Creates
- Content pillars: Clusters your uploaded queries by shared phrasing into named pillars, ranked by total search impressions.
- Platform ownership: Shows which platform (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, or your site) carries the most impressions for each pillar, and its share.
- Ranking tier: Rates each pillar's average position and tags it with a move: Optimize existing content, Embed on another platform, or Produce something new.
- Brand and long-tail queries: Separates out brand searches and miscellaneous long-tail queries into their own groups.
- Example queries: Shows the top 3 real queries behind each pillar by impressions.
- Exports: Downloads the full pillar map as a spreadsheet, and an AI prompt pack (Markdown) built from your top pillars and their strongest platform.
What This Social Topical Map Generator Does Not Do
- Does not generate topics from a keyword you type in; it clusters queries from your own Search Console exports
- Does not automatically publish social media posts
- Does not guarantee engagement, reach, or followers
- Does not replace audience research
- Does not create a complete publishing schedule
Why Use a Social Topical Map?
A topical map built from your own Search Console data organizes your social content around subjects you already have real search demand and visibility for, instead of guessing which topics to cover.
- Plan content around pillars you already rank for, across platforms
- See which platform is under-using a pillar that performs well elsewhere
- Spot content close to ranking well that just needs a packaging fix
- Avoid producing new content for a topic you already own
- Turn real query data into ready-to-use content prompts
How to Use the Social Topical Map Generator
- In Search Console, add a platform property for each platform you want mapped (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X) and verify it, then open its Performance report.
- Export each property's Performance report (Export, Download CSV). Do the same for your website property if you want it included.
- Drop each ZIP or CSV into the tool, one per platform.
- Review the pillars: each one's impressions, platforms, ranking tier, and example queries.
- Use the Optimize, Embed, and Produce sections to see the specific move for each pillar, then download the spreadsheet or prompt pack to plan your content.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a social topical map?
In this tool, a social topical map is a set of content pillars built from the real search queries your content already appears for across your platform properties in Google Search Console.
Do I need to type in a topic to use this tool?
No. You upload Search Console Performance exports instead, and the tool finds your pillars from the actual queries in that data.
What data do I need?
A Search Console Performance export (CSV, inside the ZIP Search Console gives you) for each platform property you want included: YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, or your website.
Can I use this for different platforms?
Yes. Upload an export for each platform property you have verified in Search Console, and the tool shows which platform carries each content pillar.
Is a social topical map the same as an SEO topical map?
No. An SEO topical map organizes website content around search topics and entities. This tool builds a similar structure, but from the queries your content already earns impressions for across your social platforms.
